We wish to announce that our 58.3%-owned subsidiary, UCH which is listed on the SGX, had on 17 May 2004 released their announcement concerning the subscription of shares by UCPL in the share capital of Unified Thailand Ltd to the SGX. Upon completion of the aforesaid subscription of shares, Unified Thailand Ltd will be regarded as a subsidiary of UCPL with an effective interest of 89%.
