We refer to our announcement on 10 February 2004 in relation to the registration of the prospectus of UCHL with the Monetary Authority of Singapore setting out the invitation to the public to subscribe for and/or purchase the 73,500,000 ordinary shares of SGD0.08 each in UCHL comprising 8,000,000 shares at an issue/offer price of SGD0.28 each by way of public offer (Offer Shares) and 65,500,000 shares at an issue/offer price of SGD0.28 each by way of placement (Placement Shares)(Invitation).
On behalf of the Board of Directors of ASB, Southern Investment Bank Berhad wishes to announce that as at the close of the Invitation at 12.00 noon on 17 February 2004, the total valid applications amounted to 1,623,317,000 shares (comprising valid applications for 1,557,889,000 Offer Shares and 65,428,000 Placement Shares). Based on the total Invitation size of 73,500,000 shares, the Invitation was approximately 22.1 times subscribed.
Pursuant to the above, UCHL's shares will be admitted to the Official List of the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited and commence trading on 19 February 2004.
