Further to the announcement made on 29 August 2002 in relation to the Acquisitions, on behalf of ASB, Southern Investment Bank Berhad wishes to announce that on 25 September 2003, WMSB (as the Purchaser) had entered into a Further Supplemental Agreement with Wong Tze Leng (as the Vendor) to vary certain terms of the agreement dated 26 May 2001 and the supplemental agreements dated 22 March 2002 and 29 August 2002 and the letter dated 17 May 2002 (Agreement) relating to the Acquisitions so as to facilitate the proposed listing of UCSB and UCPL on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited as announced on 8 May 2003.

Other than the above, all the other terms and conditions relating to the Acquisitions remain unchanged.
