The Board of Directors of ASB wishes to announce that the Company proposes to adopt a new set of Articles of Association to comply with the Listing Requirements of Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange ("KLSE") (in particular, Chapter 7 of the Listing Requirements of KLSE) and to conform with the current relevant statutory and regulatory requirements as well as to facilitate the administration of the affairs of the Company ("the Proposed Adoption").
The Proposed Adoption is subject to the approval of the stockholders and loan stock holders of ASB. The Company has obtained approval from the KLSE for an extension of time up to 30 June 2002 to procure its stockholders' approval on the Proposed Adoption.
A Circular containing details of the Proposed Adoption will be issued to the stockholders of ASB in due course.
