We refer to the earlier announcement made on behalf of ASB dated 6 January 2000 and 25 April 2000 in relation to the Proposed Disposal. On behalf of the Board of Directors of ASB, Perdana Merchant Bankers Berhad is pleased to announce that pursuant to the Extraordinary General Meeting of UMG held on 22 May 2000, the shareholders of UMG have approved the Proposed Disposal.
UMG is a 50.75%-owned subsidiary of ASB.
