Reference is made to our announcements dated 27 February 2009, 10 March 2009, 24 March 2009, 27 March 2009 and 2 April 2009 and the offer document dated 12 March 2009 (“Offer Document”) in relation to the Exit Offer.

On behalf of the Board of Directors of ASB, Maybank IB wishes to announce that ASB has today, pursuant to Section 34A(2) of the Securities Commission Act 1993 (“SCA”), despatched a notice in the manner prescribed under the Malaysian Code on Take-overs and Mergers 1998 (“Notice”) to the holders of ASCAP Shares who have not accepted the Exit Offer.

Any holder of ASCAP Shares who has not accepted the Exit Offer may exercise his/her rights pursuant to Section 34A of the SCA, within three (3) months from the date of giving of the Notice up to 5.00 p.m. on 20 July 2009, by serving a notice on ASB to require ASB to acquire his/her ASCAP Shares at RM0.60 per ASCAP Share and on the same terms and conditions as set out in the Offer Document or such other terms as may be agreed or as the High Court, on application by the holder or by ASB, thinks fit to order.
